Syed Md Mukit Rashid

I am currently a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, where I work as a graduate research assistant under the guidance of Dr. Syed Rafiul Hussain . My research is primarily focused on security and privacy, with an emphasis on the security analysis of large-scale protocols. I specialize in developing automated tools for security analysis in protocol implementations. By leveraging natural language processing (NLP) models, program analysis techniques, and formal analysis methods, I aim to systematically identify security vulnerabilities and propose automatic program repairs. My work has already led to the identification of several vulnerabilities in commercial implementations of 4G LTE, 5G, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Open RAN (ORAN).

Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE at BUET, where I also completed my B.Sc. degree in 2019 and M.Sc. degree in 2022.
